Geneva, Switzerland. The World Health Organization holds a Global Summit Meeting on Safety and Access to Fertility Care. In this two-day Summit, representatives from central and regional WHO offices, representatives from national departments of health, leaders from international fertility societies, and diverse faculty discuss need and strategies for action to improve infertility-related reproductive health globally. The burden generated by lack of access to care for both individuals and health systems is addressed in an opening lecture with particular reference to Africa.
