1st AFFS Conference, Tunis, Tunisia

April 25 to 27

Nearly 700 delegates from 22 countries came together in Tunis to participate in the 1st conference of the African Federation of Fertility Societies, held in conjunction with STOG, the Tunisian Society for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and IFFS. An excellent academic programme paired with an active and engaged audience made for full lecture halls, stimulating debate, and a vibrant conference. It was evident how much fertility care professionals from our region enjoyed coming together! Data from our African Registry were showcased in the opening lecture delivered by AFFS President, Professor Gamal Serour; ANARA presentations featured in a conference plenary as well as a pre-congress course; and many delegates expressed appreciation that Africa now had real-world data. Congratulations to the organizers and congratulations to the newly elected AFFS Board. ANARA and AFFS will continue to collaborate building a strong presence and future for infertility and fertility care on our continent.
