First ANARA data release at an African conference, Abuja, Nigeria

First Registry data, pertaining to 2013 submitted by 40 centres in 13 countries, are presented at the annual African Fertility and Reproductive Health Conference. Ibrahim Wada (Deputy President, AFRH), Moise Fiadjoe (Founding President, GIERAF) and Silke Dyer (Director, ANARA) present data for Nigeria, the GIEARF Region and sub-Saharan Africa respectively. Key findings include good effectiveness (pregnancy rates) at both national and regional level; the transfer of multiple embryos in the majority of cycles with a resultant high rate of multiples (25%); and unknown outcome of most pregnancies due to loss of follow up.
